Will this workflow do something I can’t take back?

Paste an n8n workflow — a template you found, or your own export — and see every step labelled before it runs. If a step sends, pays or deletes with nobody asked, you get the same workflow back with an Approve / Decline message in front of it.

What is checked

Every step gets a label

Only reads · can be undone · can’t be undone — from the node’s own resource and operation, the same way for 3,597 app actions. Never from the workflow’s name.

Is anyone asked?

A step that can’t be undone counts as safe only when a Send-and-Wait, Form or Wait-for-approval step stands before it on the way from the trigger.

Nothing runs, nothing is kept

Your workflow is read in memory to answer and then discarded. The checker never sends anything and never writes to your n8n.

Using an AI assistant? The same check is the MCP tool inspect_workflow — see for AI tools.
